Open IACS

Activities

Activity 1: Project Management

Efficient financial and technical management

Activity 2 Requirements Definition

Aims to identify the requirements needed to re-equip the Open IACS infrastructure in order to:

  • Facilitate the provision of information services towards citizens, farmers, companies and policy makers.

  • Improve the management of biodiversity associated with the development of crops in the scope of the CAP.

  • Facilitate climate change mitigation, and adaptation to its effects.

This task will consist of the requirements specification of the applications to be considered in the scenarios to demonstrate the effective use of Linked Open Data End-Points. These scenarios will provide relevant information for agri-environmental management of the CAP including supporting farmers activities and decision making, monitoring of greening policies and monitoring climate change impact.

The following scenarios will be identified:

  • Scenario l : Information services to support farmer activities and decision making.

  • Scenario 2: Agri-environmental policy evaluation.

  • Scenario 3: Climate impact of Agriculture and CAP policy.

Activity 3: Data modelling and Harmonization

Aims to design a common semantic model to represent and harmonize the data required to manage CAP and IACS.

Activity 4:HPC Infrastructure End-point Data Management

Expects to create a set of Linked Open Data Interoperable end-points from the data sources.

Activity 5:HPC Infrastructure to provide generic information services

Hopes to design and implement the common agri-environmental infrastructure for IACS policy management.

Activity 6: Specific Services and Pilots Design

Plans to develop dataset scenarios, to demonstrate the effective use of Linked Open Data End-Points, to obtain provide relevant information for agri-environmental management of the CAP.

Activity 7: Results Evaluation, Dissemination and Exploitation

Expectation: to evaluate the Open IACS results and receive feedback from experts and end-users.
